I remember when I was a little girl and my mom would always have me say 10 things I was thankful for... and I thought it was so hard! Of coarse it would be My mom, my dad, my sisters, food, a house, and clothes. Just the normal generic stuff. Well this year we started our thanksgiving tree with emi (it will be a tradition of ours) and it was so much easier to do now that I am older and have my own family! I had to many things to write on the tree! We are truly blessed and its times like this when it really sinks in.
This is the thanksgiving tree we made but before we got all the thankful fors up there. It has been a great year and even if we didnt go to a foreign country or go see any amazing monuments but we have survived a year at our first base and in north dakota thats probably a feat of its on lol. We had an awesome vacation home back in June. We got to do lots of touristy things in Branson and we havent really done that before! Chad loved it just as much. Well Thanksgiving is getting closer and we will have a big group of people over to feed. That makes me so happy! My heart goes out to all of the service men and women that wont be with family for the holidays and if I can make just a few of our friends feel like they are with family having a great dinner then it will all be well worth it! We love our air force family. Everyone has done so much for us and been there whenever we need something. They are unlike anyone else! Amazing! Of coarse there will be alcohol and football that night also so it will be a complete blast and I really cannot wait! SO FREAKIN EXCITED! :) I have already started getting my menu together and this weekend I will start making one thing at a time to make sure it is up to par at my dinner table this year:) So on the menu right now is 1.) Turkey 2.) green bean casserole 3.) corn and macaroni casserole 4.) stuffing 5.) grandpas ham baked beans 6.) cheesy tatoes 7.) homemade noodles! 8.) pumpkin cheesecake 9.) turtle pumpkin pie 10.) hot buttered spiced cider whiskey haha . sounds pretty good huh! Unfortunately I havent posted about Halloween yet. Suppose I should do that now. Emi had the greatest halloween a kid could ask for! Her birthday was the weekend before and she got lots of awesome presents and not to mention tons of sweets that she was hyped up on the whole following week. Then Friday the 29th got here. We went trick or treating at the LRS trunk or treat for little kids... It was scarrey. We enjoyed it and so did Emi but it was pitch black and freaky so lots of kids were crying and freaked. Including our friends little girl that went with us. Marlena held her because she was so scared and then the dumbass werewolf went and reached for the baby! I have never heard a girl scream so loud! It was funny and sad all at the same time. Saturday we went to chads friends house which happens to be emi's "best friend taylor"'s dad and emi got to go to the glenburn school with Taylor to trick or treat. I guess she won the cakewalk all by herself and got a cool little prize for it! Then they went back to Taylors and watched How to Train Your Dragon while daddy enjoyed (ok fumed about) the MU game :) And now we are at Sunday...Of coarse Emi wanted to show bossman her costume (I swear my 3 year old has a major crush!) and she stole a few handfuls of candy from him which was pretty funny! Then we met up with my friend Rachel and her two girls Kenna and KK to go take candy from the mall. It was the easy and she got the most candy there. Im tellin ya this kid hit the jackpot and she ate almost all the candy at each stop before we would go to the next place the next day! The kid had a sugar overload she is still recovering from!
All in all it has been a great few weeks! I cant think of a single bad note to talk about. I start training next week at the hospital so I will be busy for the next few weeks. Oh and I joined a mom and tots group so on those days emi and I are just sitting at home doing nothing we can get out and go play with other kids and moms! And I also joined the enlisted spouses group but havent done anything with them yet. I guess I am getting ready for chad to deploy! :) Well everyone I hope this month makes you feel as blessed as I do and I hope you take time each day to remember what you are thankful for! Love you all thanks for reading!
As you can see I am starting completely over on my blog. I didnt like where the old one was headed. It was more a blog to vent to than it was a way to write about our family adventures. So here is round two...lets see if I keep it on track :) (BTW excuse any typos... most days I wouldnt believe it possible to be awake at 6:45 with my waffles in hand and ready to go but today seems to be different! :) haha)Monday Oct 25, 2010Our daughter turned 3 two days ago. What do I say about that? On one hand its sad, it tears at my heart to see how fast its going. She is so smart and beautiful and independent and it all happens so fast. Too fast. But then there's always the other hand...We think now is stressful, tiring, frustrating and bitchy, painful, and dirty... I cant imagine how the next 15 years are going to go. Especially once that beautiful intelegent independent little girl grows up to get hormones. I am predicting that the later half of Emersons school life at home will be hell on Chad. He will resort to his video games and fine tune that selective hearing just to survive. Poor guy I feel sorry for you! Me on the other hand, OH BOY I just remember how it was with both of my mothers raising me and I flinch to think about how bad I was as a teen! Considering Karma is a Bitch, I dont think Im ready to process that fact at the moment so we will move on! Long story short Emerson Rylee you are a blessing to us and we love you forever! Happy Birthday baby girl!I did get a job, Yay for me! Well most likely 2 jobs. Target is seasonal so when chad deploys I wont be there anymore (just great for holiday money). The Other is the hospital which is amazing to get. This hospital here might suck ass but it will still be a very nice job to keep. I'm happy, Chad is happy, we stay happy. :) Im a college drop out (and just plain quitter lately) so everyone keeps asking, Bree are you still in school?, and the answer is sorta :/ go figure! I am absolutely in love with cosmetology school and I am absolutely hating Headquarters Academy. At the moment we are fighting about tuition crap so no I am not IN school BUT, I will be back soon and hopefully not there. MSU is supposed to have a program now so I have to see, and if they dont I will be pushing my cranky butt back through the doors at Headquarters because I will be a cosmetologist some way some how by the end of next year! That being said anyone want to give me a try :) lol. Especially you military boys who just get 1 length from a pair of clippers all the way around... I'll do yours for free haha. (just as long as you keep coming to me after I get my license)So I guess there really isnt much going on. I have run out of things to say. Yes I know GASP! SHOCK! *eyes bulge* BREE HAS NOTHING TO SAY! :) lol but really. Its been boring lately and in this house boring is good. and it shows in our house!...its looking super good at the moment which means as soon as I get my table I will be having lots of people over for dinner ALL THE TIME! Atleast I better :) *hint hint* Really guys I love having our friends over and feeding you! It makes me happy and I guess its my motherly instincts I have always had. HAHA I sound like Esme Cullen now. and yes I just twilighted on my blog...dont shoot me. I am a recovering obsessed twimom lol. Whats to come... hmmm! Well we are supposed to get snow all this week. And so starts the 8 months of grey skies and white ground, or better yet white skies and white ground so its like your in a snow globe and cant see a damn thing! But Im not complaining, I am very happy here. This coming weekend is Halloween so Friday we have a trick or treating/pumpkin day thing with the daycare kiddos and then trunk or treat with LRS, Saturday we have the mall to scare out of candy and then door to door begging on base saturday or sunday. I have a feeling we will be sending lots of candy to chads work! But Emi will enjoy every minute of it! Then the following week starts my planning and preping for the holidays. Decorating and cooking. I gotta start making new recipes to see whats going to make the menu at out two big meals this year. I must impress everyone and keep my reputation :) But some classic family favorites will show up too. But trust me November will not be a month of weight gain! :) I have goals people come on! You wont break me haha. But yes that is going ok as well...it will get better though! ugh well I believe thats it loves. I know you cant get enough of reading about our lives :) just kidding but seriously I hope I actually get some followers this time that comment and such! Comments make me happy and keep me from going crazy...knowing im not just typing this to hear myself think but the know people actually care! :) Until next time...um well just stay happy with me! Later loves!*bree*
