Month of Thankfulness

I remember when I was a little girl and my mom would always have me say 10 things I was thankful for... and I thought it was so hard! Of coarse it would be My mom, my dad, my sisters, food, a house, and clothes. Just the normal generic stuff. Well this year we started our thanksgiving tree with emi (it will be a tradition of ours) and it was so much easier to do now that I am older and have my own family! I had to many things to write on the tree! We are truly blessed and its times like this when it really sinks in. This is the thanksgiving tree we made but before we got all the thankful fors up there. It has been a great year and even if we didnt go to a foreign country or go see any amazing monuments but we have survived a year at our first base and in north dakota thats probably a feat of its on lol. We had an awesome vacation home back in June. We got to do lots of touristy things in Branson and we havent really done that before! Chad loved it just as much.

Well Thanksgiving is getting closer and we will have a big group of people over to feed. That makes me so happy! My heart goes out to all of the service men and women that wont be with family for the holidays and if I can make just a few of our friends feel like they are with family having a great dinner then it will all be well worth it! We love our air force family. Everyone has done so much for us and been there whenever we need something. They are unlike anyone else! Amazing! Of coarse there will be alcohol and football that night also so it will be a complete blast and I really cannot wait! SO FREAKIN EXCITED! :) I have already started getting my menu together and this weekend I will start making one thing at a time to make sure it is up to par at my dinner table this year:) So on the menu right now is 1.) Turkey 2.) green bean casserole 3.) corn and macaroni casserole 4.) stuffing 5.) grandpas ham baked beans 6.) cheesy tatoes 7.) homemade noodles! 8.) pumpkin cheesecake 9.) turtle pumpkin pie 10.) hot buttered spiced cider whiskey haha . sounds pretty good huh!

Unfortunately I havent posted about Halloween yet. Suppose I should do that now. Emi had the greatest halloween a kid could ask for! Her birthday was the weekend before and she got lots of awesome presents and not to mention tons of sweets that she was hyped up on the whole following week. Then Friday the 29th got here. We went trick or treating at the LRS trunk or treat for little kids... It was scarrey. We enjoyed it and so did Emi but it was pitch black and freaky so lots of kids were crying and freaked. Including our friends little girl that went with us. Marlena held her because she was so scared and then the dumbass werewolf went and reached for the baby! I have never heard a girl scream so loud! It was funny and sad all at the same time. Saturday we went to chads friends house which happens to be emi's "best friend taylor"'s dad and emi got to go to the glenburn school with Taylor to trick or treat. I guess she won the cakewalk all by herself and got a cool little prize for it! Then they went back to Taylors and watched How to Train Your Dragon while daddy enjoyed (ok fumed about) the MU game :) And now we are at Sunday...Of coarse Emi wanted to show bossman her costume (I swear my 3 year old has a major crush!) and she stole a few handfuls of candy from him which was pretty funny! Then we met up with my friend Rachel and her two girls Kenna and KK to go take candy from the mall. It was the easy and she got the most candy there. Im tellin ya this kid hit the jackpot and she ate almost all the candy at each stop before we would go to the next place the next day! The kid had a sugar overload she is still recovering from!
All in all it has been a great few weeks! I cant think of a single bad note to talk about. I start training next week at the hospital so I will be busy for the next few weeks. Oh and I joined a mom and tots group so on those days emi and I are just sitting at home doing nothing we can get out and go play with other kids and moms! And I also joined the enlisted spouses group but havent done anything with them yet. I guess I am getting ready for chad to deploy! :) Well everyone I hope this month makes you feel as blessed as I do and I hope you take time each day to remember what you are thankful for! Love you all thanks for reading!
